Oregon Trail Middle School

I would highly recommend it to families looking for a supportive, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment. One of the things that truly stands out is how dedicated the teachers are to their students. They understand that every child learns differently, and they are willing to go the extra mile to find ways to help each student succeed. Whether a student learns best through hands-on activities, visual support, repetition, extra guidance, or a different approach altogether, the staff makes an effort to meet students where they are and help them grow with confidence.A very special shout-out goes to the interpreter, who consistently goes above and beyond to help students, families, and staff. Her patience, kindness, dedication, and willingness to work hard to make sure everyone feels supported do not go unnoticed. She is always willing to help, and her commitment makes a meaningful difference in the school community.Overall, this is a school where students are seen as individuals and encouraged to learn in the ways that work best for them. The caring teachers, supportive staff, and inclusive environment make it a place I would wholeheartedly recommend to students with all different learning styles and needs. We are truly grateful for the people who make this school such a special place.

We have had 4 kids go through K-5. Our last boy is in 3rd grade this year. Fairview has been a wonderful school for our kids to grow up in. Our kids have all loved their teachers throughout our many years at this school. The counselor and nurse have been very helpful when we had some hard times as a family too. You can really tell that they care about kids and about their family’s too.

My boy has been attending Westview since grade K and is now in 3rd grade. We have been blessed with the best teachers and counselors who are our heroes. They go above and beyond to work with parents in order to customize styles for any difficulties your child may face so they can push through. Because of this, my child is now thriving and his ADHD is almost a non-concern. Much thanks to their supportive, loving and customizable approach to teaching. We can now move forward with the next chapter in the next couple of years, like preparing for graduation and middle school. He also loves the school's emotional support dog. Keep up the great work, our community needs this!

I love this school!! I went to Rolling Ridge and so do my kids. The teachers are willing to help if I have a concern and do there best to pin point to work on what is needed to succeed. Not sure why this school has such a low score, in my book it definitely hits a 10/10.

Olathe School District has been extremly disappointing! I have a child with special needs. I was told that going in to kindergarten all of his information was going to be transferred to his school and the staff would be informed of what is needed to support his learning. It has not happened! Even after updating his school, the staff continues to show why their school is so low rated compared to the rest. Completely unacceptable!

The great things people say about Mr. Smith is not hyperbole. The man is rock solid in his commitment. The school goes to great lengths to keep the parents engaged in their children's learning. My child has been going here since 1st grade and is currently finishing up 3rd grade. We look forward to the coming years at this school.
