St. Pius X Elementary School

This is an absolutely amazing school, full of great teachers able to handle the fantastic diversity of the local population. Do judge this population by its test scores. There is so much more than that. This is a great strong community and we welcome all. My family is in a position to go to "higher achieving" schools but love Crestview too much! My kids are achivening great things everyday.

Nothing but great things to say about Highlands!

Prairie elementary is hands down one of the best elementary schools in Kansas. The administration and teachers are excellent, and Prairie families truly value education. The PTA is exceptional and the school has a wonderful neighborhood feel. Student relationships extend well beyond the school, with neighborhood sports teams, scout troops and other activities. The proximity to the Prairie Village shops is also a huge bonus. Our kids loved Prairie and we are grateful to have found such a wonderful school.

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Roesland! The staff and teachers are wonderful and very involved. The PTA has been revamped and is super inclusive - always looking for new members and parent involvement. I can't recommend Roesland enough. Roeland Park and Roesland Elementary are hidden gems in the middle of KC and we're so lucky to live in the neighborhood! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Rushton is a wonderful school with a diverse and growing community. There have been several new young energetic teachers added in the past few years, and most of the veteran teachers are stellar. There is a wholesome small town feel. Administrators and supplemental staff know your student and family members by name. They offer pre-k, wrap-around care, and several extra curricular activities. Be careful believing what you may hear about this school. We had heard horrible things about Rushton, but we decided to give it a try with our oldest. We are so glad we did! Our students are thriving! There seems to be a resurgence happening in this school, bolstered by a new building and growing enrollment.

Wonderful school with an amazing principal and staff
