Fort Riley Middle School

My child's kindergarten teach was Mrs reynaud. My daughter absolutely loved her teacher so much. Mrs reynaud always kept us up to date with my child's performance and my child loved going to school everyday. She learned how to read very fast. A couple of months into kinder she was already reading. My daughter had to switch schools 2 months before the school year ended and even in her new school all she talks about is how much she misses her teacher and class. If Mrs reynaud ever sees these reviews I'd like to say thank you! Veronica misses you a lot :)

Kids get hurt and sick at this school all the time and teachers never no how. They ask us to provide all that school and cleaning supplies at the beginning of the year for your child to barely have any of their own and constantly getting sick in the environment. The special education teachers obviously have absolutely no training and blame everything on the kids. My son is 5 and autistic is labeled as a runner and supposed to have someone holding his hand almost all the time (they don't). They make it seem like he is bad because he has a hard time sitting still. He is very specific about his food choices so for the 1st three months of school he was not eating ALL day. I was not informed that he wasn't eating or napping (as a kindergartener) until our quarterly meeting. I was told by another parent who went to have lunch with their kid, that they seen my son sitting under the lunch table crying because he did like the food but was really hungry. I plan to call social services on them. The went on a "freedom walk" around the school for the 9/11 victims and luckily I showed up that day to watch because his teacher didn't even notice that he had eloped out of the line of children. I told the teacher that she should have noticed or at lease apologize and blame it on not having enough help. Instead, she suggested I teach my son to not elope and help him understand the consequences of it. On top of that she denied that he eloped in the 1st place, saying he was "with her the whole time until he was with me" like duh. When 3 other parents and I watched as she never noticed. I told the principal and she thought it was an appropriate time to crack a joke while I was visibly shaking while informing her of the incident. Another time last year a random kid in my son's class decided to attack him by biting through his sweater, shirt, under shirt and through the skin on his back before it was even noticed. And after they pulled him off my son the kid tried to run and do it again. Nothing was done about it.

Ware Elementary is where my oldest learner started her academic career in preschool. The school is warm and welcoming to military children regardless of when they arrive in the school year. My favorite part about the school is how much it honors and respects military families and their hardships. We were sad to PCS but we are grateful for the teachers and staff who made my learner's experience memorable.
