This school has come a long way in the last 5 years and my kids receive a quality education from South Ripley. The great schools ranking is way too low. At least a 6-7/10 on the low side.

Surprised by some of these negative reviews I am reading. I attended this school and I most certainly didn't have a popular name associated within the community, and I was never a basketball star. I did however receive a good education and became very successful in life following graduation.

The town has a big festival every year. The Pumpkin Show. One year we were in the local grocery store and several teachers (one being a former teacher of the year) were down talking a couple of elementary aged students. Many parents heard the discussion, and the town is small enough the teachers knew they heard. Bullying is not handled well at this school. The student can follow the rules in regards to turning in the bullying and nothing will be done. When the student is tired of the incessant bullying and protects themselves (after months of the school doing nothing) the student being bullied is punished.
