I have to much to negative to say about this school. Not just the elementary! From every aspect!

SC used to be great. It has become an elitist school, if your child isn't part of the cool kid cliques or is good at sports you don't matter to SC. They need to get back to that small town feel

I would rate 8 out of 10. The nurse at the school is great to my son, as he has allergies and sees her often, and she treats him as a second mom when it comes to taking care.of him. All my sons have done excellent academically, and the teachers have been great in my experience.

My children are frequently bullied by other children. The only form of discipline seems to be verbal, and sadly this doesn't actually stop the bullying as it only starts up again sometimes months but usually weeks later. Even physical bullying isn't taken serious. The teachers aren't the problem. The subjects they teach they're proficient and qualified. The problem is the bullying, and it's the worst on the public bus. Most drivers seem aloof to the situations, and no one who is actually a problem is ever removed for even a week. It is my belief that the entire reason my children dislike school so much is because of the continuous bullying in which even they are made to be treated as part of the issue. It may be that it takes two to argue when we are adults, but it certainly only takes one to display abusive behaviors towards another simply because they feel like it. Especially when they're children. If they could clean up this bullying problem by doing more than simple set downs or writing letters to parents who either don't care or even promote the behavior then the school would be 100% better for it. When a child is bullied, and when it continues on it not only makes learning difficult but also sets them up for potential mental health problems which can further have secondary issues. As most who suffer with anxiety have IBS. Since bullying is such a harm to children who experience it perhaps children who are frequently bullying others should be suspended from school until they've received some form of therapy which addresses their behavior. It is my belief that most bullies are forged at home, and not in other areas which they display the behaviors they've learned from parents/guardians.
