North Harrison Elementary School

this school SUCKS. Highly don’t recommend for your children at all!!!North Harrison Middle School is genuinely one of the most miserable school environments I’ve ever experienced. The amount of laughing, disrespect, and straight-up rudeness from students is ridiculous. Trying to talk to people or make friends feels pointless when so many students act like they live on a throne. And the counselor? Absolutely useless in my experience. When bullying is happening, the response shouldn’t be to downplay it or make it seem like it’s not a big deal. Students shouldn’t have to feel like they’re being dramatic just because they’re asking for help. If a student comes to you because they’re being bullied or isolated, TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY. Feeling like the adults were more interested in minimizing the situation than actually addressing why students were being treated like this. A school counselor is supposed to be someone students can trust, but It certainly didn’t feel that way. I wouldn’t recommend this school to someone who is already struggling socially. If you’re expecting people to actually welcome you, be prepared to feel like you’re on your own. The school seriously needs to do better with bullying, student behavior, and actually listening to students instead of brushing their problems off.
