Read what parents are saying about Saint John The Baptist SchoolI can't imagine a better fit for our sons. The teachers at St. John the Baptist Catholic School really cared about giving them the tools they needed to grow and learn. A strong education was enhanced with a deep love of faith and prayer. Our sons grew to be very strong in their faith, and I attribute a good bit of that to be from being in a school where faith is so strong. The friends they made from grade school at St. John School continue to be some of their closest friends today. The small class size really makes for strong bonds through the years.
Posted by a parent on 8/2/2014St. John the Baptist has been a wonderful place for my children to grow academically, socially, and, most importantly, spiritually. Teachers here are true professionals in how they teach in appealing to multiple learning styles and making accommodations for the range of learners. The principal is forward-thinking and full of enthusiasm for making a great school even better. I believe if you are looking for a top-notch education for your child, there is no better school, Catholic or public, in the area for your child.
Posted by a parent on 7/8/2014As a parent, I couldn't ask for a better place for my children to be! The teachers are awesome and go above and beyond their responsibilities to make sure every child feels loved and valued. The academics are great and the Catholic environment makes me so proud to be part of such a wonderful community of faith, knowledge, and service. If you live in or are moving to the Newburgh area, stop by and check out this fabulous school!
Posted by a parent on 3/6/2014My youngest sister currently attends St. Johns and is relentlessly bullied day after day. Both the parents of the students bullying her and the teachers at St. Johns are aware of the bullying, but no one seems willing to take action. My sister is constantly blamed by faculty for being bullied because she is different, and teachers often let awful, mean remarks from other students pass without punishment. If you are looking for an establishment that infuses catholic values with education, do not send your child here. It disgusts me that St. Johns is even still considered a Catholic school.
Posted by a community member on 4/4/2012I have a son in 3rd grade at St John and a son in 1st grade. They have both been there since kindergarten. We are relocating and the thought that my children will not be there next year is sickening. I have checked out the schools in the other state, even private, and they do not compare. The academics, religion, parent involvement, teacher involvement is top notch. I give the school a 5 out of 5 with no hesitation. Amazing school!

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis school has belittled my children and myself. Both of my kids have special needs and IEPs and DO NOT receive the supports they are suppose to. When I finally stepped up and realized (on my own) how much of voice I had in their IEPs, the school tried to tell me “it doesn’t work that way”. My children’s teachers have no knowledge in how to address their needs nor do they care to. The school tries to talk down to me at their meeting and even on their IEPs. The school has lied about their progress to me (everything’s fine with others) and I have evidence to prove otherwise. One of my children is getting bullied by peers in and out of school. I now have evidence of that as well. When it was brought to the principles attention, her response was “ignore them”. The peers are now ganging up on my child. My other child who had never had negative feelings towards school is refusing to go every morning because “my teacher is mean, she always gets onto me and I’m stupid”. My child’s speech and OT therapists have heard this recently as well. This breaks my heart!!! I really expected so much better from the schools around here…SHAMEFUL!!!Parent Review1y ago - Sharon Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe have two kids at Sharon currently, and two more who will eventually be there. Not originally from here, my husband and I really didn’t know anything about any of the schools in Warrick county. We have been very happy with our kids experiences at Sharon. We’ve had excellent, supportive teachers who are very communicative with parents. My kids have learned and grown so much. We have nothing but positive things to say about this school!Parent Review1y ago - Bright Minds Academy
