Posted by a parent on 5/21/2015hi my child is a third grader at meddowbrook. he has been to other schools and been kicked out because of behavior problems they do well on that aspect with him but not on others. he is not learning anything, because thay are too focused on his behavior. to the extent of telling me i had to medicate my son. the special ed teacher seems to have only one answer and thats to yell at him. what do i do. i will not medicate him. his regular teacher is great. my son has bi polar disorder. and yelling makes him lash out. they need to work on the teachers conduct.
Posted by a parent on 1/10/2014I totally agree when others say that there is no control over the students at this school..i was completely shocked to see how out of control these kids were when i went to eat lunch with my son. There where kids swearing at each other, threatning other kids, and the teacher on duty did nothing about it! And i have been told by my son that older kids try to bully him as well. That is something I will not stand for and neither should any parent.
Posted by a parent on 8/2/2012I have not at all been impressed with the quality of education offered my child through Meadowbrook. My child experienced problems being bullied and the matter was not taken seriously by staff. A visit to the school revealed the seriousness of children out of control and teachers seemingly not caring. We are looking for an alternative for next year, hjave had enough of the mediocrity found in this "learning" environment.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AveragePros: - Faculty is generally pleasant and has a smile on their face- The outside area for kids to play is nice with lots of things to do- Group style learning as Montessori should be.Cons:- Poor and outdated communication- Tuition costs & constant "fundraising" asks are more like requests for money without actual fundraising events, tasks, or selling of anything. - Faculty does not communicate well at all about the child's daily activities or if there is an "incident"- Teachers are not accredited in Montessori (AMS Accreditation) nor do many have traditional degrees in educationWe were at this school for "2" years. 1 full year with a 2 yr old and the second year we pulled out our now 2 yr old, and our 3 yr old (attended prior year) within a month-and-a-half due to lack of communication and high cost of tuition for subpar service.Parent Review6mo ago - St John The Baptist School
