Mishawaka High School

We have had two children go through this school (with a seven year gap between them). We adore Elm Road!!! One teacher that one of our girls had, didn't overwhelm me with delight, but ALL THE REST have been truly wonderful. It is very evident that the staff really care for their students. Additionally, they support and are responsive to parents/families. This school year is our last year here, and I will miss being a part of the Elm Road community. I will always be thankful for the atmosphere of kindness and grace that we experienced throughout these years.

Teachers are allowed to bully & pick on children. This is terrible! These children are supposed to be nurtured & protected while at school. Not be damaged & taught that bullying is acceptable when done by an adult. This has been a recurring problem & is nothing new. I am not the only person to witness this at Nuner.Also, if you want to be told that your child is on the bus, then have no one answer the phone at Nuner or transportation when you've been at your child's bus stop for 1 hour after dismissal & your child has not been dropped off because she was STILL AT SCHOOL & NO ONE THOUGHT IT IMPORTANT THEY CONTACT THE CONCERNED PARENT, then this is the school for you. My child often comes home excited to share what they have learned, whether it's a new science experiment, a creative art project, or a book they can't put down. The emphasis on fostering curiosity and a love of learning has been invaluable.
