Some really great teachers (and some seriously burnt-out, rude ones), but the lack of support they receive from leadership and the amount of students they are expected to teach per class is demotivating. Posted by a parent on 7/11/2018The administration at MJHS is a joke (as said in one of the other reviews). The students are into talking smack behind other student's back , and bullying. The counselors are no help.....AT ALL! The teachers will only go at their own pace and never make sure a student is on track. The teachers "try"
Posted by a parent on 10/3/2015A lot of the teachers appear to only be there for the pay. They give up too easily on challenged students. If a student's getting bullied they don't do anything until the poor kid get's beat up, and then they just send the kid and the bully to detention together.
Posted by a parent on 4/30/2015The administration at the Jr high is a joke. The atmosphere in the building is horrible. What a sad place to have to go to school. There are some wonderful teachers at the school that can not do their jobs because of the principal. If you can, send your child to any school system other than Madison.

Students in Art Class(2D and 3D high school credit classes) have painted murals above the water fountains, all with a water theme by famous artits-Up, The Scream, Where the Wild Things Are. My only concern at this point is sending 5th graders to middle school at the junior high. This is a mistake for this size community, in my opinion. She has been reading since the age of four, writing cursive and has a vocabulary of a child beyond her years. Math is a cinch for her too. She continues to love to go to school everyday. I have been more then pleased with the staffing and administration at the school.
