Hobart Middle School

My wife informed the office daughter has a disability and her disability being anxiety and they told my wife she can not walk her to the door she was screamed at by staff and they do nothing to accommodate my daughter anxiety she cries screams tries to run back to the car this school cares nothing about my daughters disability or taking it seriously so were thinking about moving schools

We have multiple family members in town this weekend and decided today to go and support one of our elementary age family members at a basketball game that took place at the high school. The game was amazing. Everybody at the concession stand was extremely professional. Overall we had a blast. There was one exception to this. I’m not sure who the young man is that was at the front door sitting behind the Admissions table, taking payments for the basketball game. When my family and I walked into this building for the very first time, we felt less than welcome. He was extremely brash, extremely rude, and his tone was less stellar. I will hope that moving forward when entering athletic events. The Hobart school district will have someone there that is eager to greet their guest, with courtesy and welcome them with professionalism, decorum, cough, someone that will greet their patrons with a smile and be more welcoming than what my family and I experienced this weekend.This interaction was definitely distasteful and sadly when mentioning my experience to the grandparents of one of the children during the game, this seems like standard behavior for this individual. Again, overall, we had a great time but first impressions are everything.

I would just like to say that the school has and is trying to bully my child who is autistic out of the school who is in kindergarten at this school in 5 months the teachers are not patient at all w children with disability they are angry the principle and staff have smiles on they face to treat you but they are not happy people with children with special needs they have suspended my son and have tried to kick my son out of the school and bank the mom who is single parent the bus drivers almost hit my car couple times and the parking lot terrible when parents leaf rout in front of the building they have negative image of a child every day something bad he gets kicked out of school every day for 5 months how can he learn anything ?? What is the reason they use the word dangerous to child who has a dist or any child they call them dangerous and can not explain why they are dangerous running around is not dangerous they also wanna try and restrain autistic children force the parent with a crisis plan to restrain a a child and they call the police ok your child at this school they use the police on kindergarten kids I'm inoperste way :) how dad terrible yeah I think we done here now I had been done w this bully adults teacher a this school needs help lots of it principle gotta go teacher need qulifatiins and patients not prepared at all

MAITO was the answer to our conundrum... a Montessori that went past kindergarten that wasn't 45 minutes away. They've been very welcoming and have worked with find the right classes for our kids. Love how engaged the community and parents are!

My kids, coming from Hobart public schools, have dramatically increased their love and readiness for learning at school here. Their confidence boomed, bullying is non existent, they receive top notch grades, they are loving school. It’s nice to foster a relationship with a school my children aren’t dreading going to. What a change from Hobart public schools! This school really cares about your kids and their futures.
