Danville Community High School

Head football coach is horrible. Very selective and is not a great roll model. Doesn’t do anything for the kids. The principal and athletic director do nothing for students who need discipline. They just sweep it all under the rug. There is no support from principal. They rather just be a friend.

A high school with teachers who care about students :)

My child will not be going to Danville schools, because my entire K-12 experience there was awful. I was constantly bullied and made to feel like an outsider. I was punished for things that other students did and even once those other students were caught, they were not punished. Majority of the teachers here are lazy, burnt out, or they never grew out of their high school days. The staff had cliques, the students had cliques, and if you were different or didn’t have money, then you were treated differently.

I can't wait for my son to graduate and leave such a negative, unhealthy atmosphere! Also really hope the referendum does not pass! It is completely unnecessary-the school just wants money, money, money for unjustifiable reasons. My son also heard that the school employed students to point out flaws at the school for a town council meeting to support the referendum and they were not told what they were doing until they arrived that day. This was passed off as service hours for the students in NHS. Hmm, thought NHS was about community service...but a 40% tax increase doesn't really sound all that great for the community-especially in a town with many people involved in the agriculture industry with a lot of land. Just a horrible school overall, and the focus on athletics instead of academics really shows. They maybe should stop spending so much money on the football team and use it instead to better the school security which they could easily do without a referendum. Wow...just wow...I feel so bad for my son. Wish I could have sent him somewhere better.

Sucked! Was always in there due to the way my kids were treated or in there cause staff was talking about my kids outside of school or with students.
