Sports are prioritized over education at this school. If you aren't an athletic kid, you are treated as a nobody.

I wish I had more options for my children’s school because this education system in our country has went so downhill, please NO ONE move here for the fact of how bad our education system is. Sports are priorities over repairs of HVAC systems or teacher raises....closing down many rural schools because of budget deficits, yet spend money on frivolous things.

Interesting to say the least, Its been a mixed basket depending on each year ive been here.

I pulled my child out of this school after only one week of this school. She was yelled at on her first day by an adult who was not even staff for her clothes that were more than appropriate. Who yells at a child on her first day in front of other students and embarrasses her? Also, students were getting on the bus with baby carriers and the school has a daycare. What school promotes teen pregnancy? Also, she went into a classroom during her lunch period to be alone because she was upset and called her friend back home to talk and was crying. Another student came up to her and said the most vulgar things to her. This student, I found out was already on a probation of sorts for multiple student harrassments and disregard of school rules and regulations. This tells me that the school does not have in place any disciplinary action that works nor follow up to these actions. After further investigation to the entire district, I pulled my elementary children out as well.

I was bullied horribly at one of the elementary schools. Once I got out to BNL, I was very amazed in their ability to handle the situations. This is an amazing school. Those who have left bad reviews are probably the kids who were bad in class or hold a grudge because a teacher wouldn't give them that A+ they thought they were entitled to. Either way this is an amazing high school and coming up into my junior year I wouldn't want to spend it anywhere else!
