My son loves this school! The teachers are very attentive and cater to his needs. I also love that the teachers always give me great advice on how I could improve his learning at home. I love that there is large Hispanic influence considering that being bilingual is a gift. It's a shame that they gave this school such a low rating because it truly is misleading.

We have been in Tarkington for 4 years. The teachers and staff go out of their way to make sure each child is thriving. We have IEP’s and feel like our children’s needs are met and they are progressing with the help of dedicated staff. The school makes sure there are events that take place after school that encourage family togetherness. We really love it at Tarkington and will be sad when our time here is over.

I was an assistant teacher at the school, I started last year in the summer and stayed for the school year as I saw a big difference from where I used to work and the Montessori school. It is a very big change, different environment and worth ethics. It is very clean and presentable. Inside the staff (employees) is very genuine and welcoming.. The teaching style was very different from what I used to teach, very independent. It was a big change for me, but I got used to it. The school is very nice but was not a fit for me due to my reasoning.

They did go through some changes in the past 2 years or so. This is probably due to the economy climate. I think they lost many students for their parents losing their jobs. Now they seem all set and settled with new set of teachers and staffs along with some old faces. My daughter loves it there very much. My older daughter loved it there, too.
