Best school in the area hands down. I see previous old reviews of principal not being good, well this current principal is great, nothing like the old reviews. Teachers are for the most part great and comunicate with parents effectively. Only had one person give issues but after addressed to the principal have had no further issues. More is being offered at the school regarding activities and early start to doors being open earlier. Overall great school with great people especially for a city school. Overall great staff at this school.

if you were looking to send a student into a school, I highly not suggest this school, the school is poorly underfunded, the maintenance is bad, the teachers criticize everything students do and treat them poorly. I hear reports of staff constantly yelling at younger students like 1st to 2nd grade, which that seems a bit abusive to yell at a younger kid! Schools building walls are severely damaged in some areas, and the paint is coming off the walls, school is also short on staff. They basically do repairs every like nine months. Also, some of the teachers in the school brag about how they get masters degree and can say that students shouldn’t complain about getting pushed too much when the teachers are literally pushing them too hard saying oh we’re just preparing you for high school. But they literally save us when you’re like in fifth six or seventh grade like you should at least get taught eighth grade skills at least not high school stuff until you’re an eighth grader. Press the last time I think someone ever got a job there was maybe like three years ago. insured this school is not a safe place for students to express feelings to others. Students constantly pick on others and staff does nothing about it. Graffiti is also everywhere in the school.

Went to school there. terrible principal she was and still is rude and condescending she definitely needs to be fired, told my family that my IEP and 504 was fake and that i didn’t need one let alone never used it when i got one (which schools are legally required to follow an IEP) had a therapist and psychiatrist come in to tell them that i definitely needed certain requirements and still never cared, a few rude teachers and translators that were there, had one teacher tell my mother that my family needed counseling and i was faking everything. the way they would talk to students should be talked about more. will never send my kids here and will always advocate how terrible this school really is.

A excellent catholic elementary school not just for the community but outside the area. Great job to the faculty and principal for thier dedication and hard working.

Peckwas Prep…Where do I start? First off, if you want your child so feel loved and cared for, this school is NOT the place for you to go. Most of teachers here have favorites, which can downgrade on all the rest of the kids. The teachers do not help with bullying as much as their ‘bullying policy’ follows. There are still mean kids calling everyone names, and when the teachers are not in the room, it gets even worse. Even when the teachers catch them, all they get is a simple scold and move on with the rest of their days. For me, I think for sure there is a bit of racism that goes into play. You would think the teachers would handle these situations in a kind matter; you thought wrong. The teachers have a bit of a swearing problem, but that’s not as bad as when you are getting yelled at. Most of the teachers there like to insult you are make you feel worse about yourself. Sometimes, they can bring up personal information and use that to make fun of you. Now as we move along the school day, we get to lunch. If I were you, I would fake an allergy to get out of this. The food they serve is undercooked and disgusting. Sometimes the food gets so bad, it happens to change colors. I guess the teachers here are also really big on saving. This is because they always reuse the same products they have leftover and serve it again the next day they have it. Some days, the food there can be good, but the portions are not well on those days. You get stuck the whole day only eating 1-2 small portion sized meals. Not only do they reuse food, they also reuse the cooking supplies as well. In my opinion, I think that is kind of gross. Not only is the school not good, but the environment surrounding it isn’t well either. Saying that they had to place there building right next to a smoke shop, the outside always smells. Most of the time, it always smells like marijuana, which doesn’t go well when we do activities that require attention outside. Overall, this school is really not the place to go, neither is it family friendly. If I were you, there are much better schools out there than this small ‘private’ school, in which the teachers are not always in the room. I would send your kid anywhere but here.
