I myself along with my daughter and son attended or attend grant. This school USED to be a great school. Unfortunately in the last 3 years hrant has went from good to very very bad. The teachers give up on their students. If you dont like teaching please quit. 1 math teacher per grade is ridiculous.
Posted by a parent on 3/13/2026I've had 6 kids in SPS 186 schools and Grant Middle is by far the worst. The new principal, Jordan Joost, acts like entitled dictator, and treats the students, particularly ones with with difficulties, like outcasts. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE.

My son has never had a miserable school experience till he went here. Makes me feel so helpless for him that it brings tears to my eyes typing
