I've gone to this school. Teachers really watch out for the students and if you are falling behind or are having any problems they will help you the very best that they can. The teachers there genuinely care. The facility has a lot of new additions and is kept very clean! The technology available is exquisite and it's just a big deal that such a small school has remained to stay so nice!

Serena High School is an elegant learning institution. Innovations in technology include iPads, net books, and flat screen desk top computers, to name a few. The business and technology department is phenomenal! The high school gym and cafeteria is fairly new. The student body is that of a tight-knight family, everyone looks out for each other and new students are always warmly welcomed! The class sizes are nice and small. SHS boosts a comfortable, yet sophisticated academic atmosphere. The maintenance crews do a great job of keeping the schools' buildings and grounds up to par. As a parent, I am very pleased with the admin, faculty, and support staff. Serena is probably one of the best area high schools that LaSalle County has to offer!!!

Athletics are horrible. season records, players, and coaches arn't good. Coaches don't do a good job of making sure all players treat each other with respect.Quite a few of the athletes are hot heads and are not fun to play with. Athletes go through random drug tests and alot of them smoke and drink and still pass it. In the four years I have been there I havent seen one athlete fail a drug test and the athletes that dont smoke or drink will commonly get tested mulptle consecutive times. P.E. is a peice of cake. almost impossible to fail and is relatively fun but alot of times teachers will combine multiple sports and come up with something completely stupid for activity. English, math, agriculture, Industrial arts, and histories have the best teachers. Rules are simple and easy to follow. Lunches can be appetizing most of the time but some times they make me want to puke. It wasn't uncomon to find a hair in my food last year. Also a common occurence that happens is you will leave lunch completely starving becuase they run out of food easily if you are in the second periode lunch hour. Not the nicest student body around but better than some of the other schools I have seen.
