Posted by a parent on 5/17/2018I served on staff at this school and I am not a fan of multi-age classrooms. I also feel that the principal puts too much faith in a handful of teachers to "run the school." If you are not her favorite, your voice doesn't matter. What is popular, is not always what's best for students. I feel overall that SD 54 is going down hill. It is not the wonderful most sought after school district that I went to as a child.

The teachers are AMAZING, the principal knows EVERY student by first name, the "community like" feel is like no other, and the curriculum provides her a great education with catholic faith and meaning. The smaller classroom sizes and the amazing teachers/administration are a perfect combination. The teachers go above and beyond. Our kids are excelling academically. Our daughters have been attending SCS since 1st and 2nd grade, and our expectations continue to be exceeded every year. We absolutely love the biblical basis and morals for everything that is encouraged and taught, the incredible education, and the hard working and dedicated teachers and faculty of this wonderful private Christian school that continues to honor and glorify Jesus Christ. One of the blessings that we are most grateful for is the awesome and beautiful diversity of SCS. Our daughters have made life-long friends at this school, and we praise God for this. In addition to the unmatched and award-winning education your child will receive, there are numerous areas in sports, art, music, and Bible quiz (and so much more) that are available at SCS.
