Broadmeadow Elementary School

I have a child who has gone to this school for two years. The first year was terrible. The teacher was gone all the time and they had a different substitute everyday. That's pretty confusing for Kindergarteners. First grade was the complete opposite. The teacher was amazing!!! She made sure to address any problems we had very quickly, and even went as far as letting my child call me from school just b/c he was having a tough day.

Good school with excellent teachers who truly care about their students. The teachers go above and beyond to make themselves available to students who require additional help after school. There are many activities for the students and my kids are never bored! Administrators at St. Malachy are friendly enough, but they sometimes misinterpret concerns from parents as complaining or taking up too much of their time. The biggest 'down side' at St. Malachy School (and the only reason I can't give the school a five star rating) is the athletic department. Coaches and athletes come and go because the AD creates a hostile and non inclusive environment. Athletes are treated differently depending on who they're related to and 'special rules' are created to punish those who do not tolerate bullying from the AD. Sports are supposed to be fun - especially in middle school. Accommodations should me made for all students who want to participate in athletics. After all, this is an elementary school, not the Marines.
