Wesmere Elementary School

My experience with Holy Family school was not a pleasant one. Many of the teachers are overwhelmed with too many students in one small classroom. The school does not provide support for kids who are not doing well academically and if these kiddos do not do well the school lets them go. The Principal of this school is indifferent; he just cares about making money. The superintendent will place you in a school based on your race and ethnicity. The school they recommended for me is in Joliet St. Mary's Nativity school because 90% of them are Hispanic and latino students. They didn't care that I live more than 16 miles from the school.

We have had a horrible experience with our young children at this school. I would recommend looking elsewhere for Catholic education, if possible. The principal is repeatedly deceitful to parents and often rude as she covers for her inability to fix BIG issues with teachers and students. Communication is very limited unless you are parent buddies with the administrators. Younger kids in preK and kindergarten are being bullied as the staff and administrators cannot seem to control the behavior of the students. The first few months of attending seemed to be good for our family until we tried meeting the parents that are fake and unwelcoming. These snobby parents are involved in Home and School as well as the Athletic Board so they have soooo much control over what happens and how their children get favored in every way. I know that no school is perfect and that all have issues, but this school is really in need of help. This is not what I had hoped for in a Catholic School. The pastor who supposedly is in charge of the school does not take time to meet with parents or address issues going on in the school. He has all the power but simply does not care. It's so unfortunate!
