Prairie Point Elementary School

Current principal and assistant principal are abysmal. They strive to be friends and opt to decline discipline at almost every turn. Students that are aggressive are not handled appropriately, leaving classmates to cope with what they see and experience. This includes being physically injured by aggressive students. Our youngest ended this past school year no longer reading because of their teacher. She continually mentioned that they shouldn’t be reading graphic novels. Our child took that to heart and quit reading at book 22 of a 23 book series. Repeated issues with the same classmate was not addressed. Our oldest experienced severe trauma from an aggressive classmate. I know too many families that have similar or the same experiences. The principal and assistant principal lied to us many times while we tried to resolve issues and the lies were not small. I wish I had listened to my husband and moved to Naperville for their schools.

I love Boulder Hill. I was so happy my kids were able to attend this school. My Kindergartner was struggling and the teaches and staff went out of their way to help him and now he is doing wonderful. They even held meetings on his progress. My oldest has excelled this year. I was worried with his 2nd grade teacher, but when a new one came in, I have never seen him so happy and just doing so well. I cannot say enough great things about this school. When I saw it was only a 5 out of 10 I was shocked! I would say 9 out of 10 - nothing is perfect!

I was hesitant to send my first child to fox chase due to the online rating and now that we have our first year behind us I've got nothing but great things to say about the teachers and administrators. Principal and asst principal are so kind and inviting and really work with you as a parent to find what's best for your child as well as the education team. There are a lot of low income families and that can make it sometimes difficult in class with friendships and behavior issues

My son went to Southbury last year in the STARS program for kindergarten. Let me tell you it was amazing! The staff was amazing and cared so much for my son. Best way to describe it, they were a well oiled machine. I really wish the program would come back to Southbury for all grades. My son and I miss it and the staff!

Excellent school for all day kindergarten. Very organized and the kids work hard all day working and learning (my daughter says). She loves the school and loves her teacher. Very pleased with our choice.

I recommend prairie point elementary school rather than hunt club elementary. This school is extremely racists and the teachers do not care about bullying at all. This school needs some better teachers!
