Read what parents are saying about Kingsley Elementary SchoolWe have been at Kingsley for the last 3 years and every encounter from the front desk to the principal has been nothing but exceptional. Teachers are engaged and have truly wanted the best for my child.
Posted by a parent on 2/10/2023My daughter she’s going in second grade and my experience with Kingsley is not so great. From the beginning of last year my daughter get in trouble with only one girl and last year was terrible my kid was slapped on the face couple times and the staff didn’t find a way to work with them and manage things better, I let it go because I didn’t want to get too much attention on my kid, to mention that my daughter never physical push anyone or say a bad word she has her character she like to be a leader but this is how any parent will educate his kid, from the beginning of this year she come home with a piece of paper what indicate which day where she can play at the playground is terrible because any kid wants to be free to play at the playground and my kid she is staying in one corner, yes she can play with anyone but only in one place of the playground and this is for couple months she’s coming home crying every day, I call the principal couple times and literally I hear that my kid is manipulative and she is so bad how this make me feel, she decide without my consent to punish my kid this way, make her feel bad kid make her feel different, this is part of education? My kid emotionally is hurt she start talking bad about her self ! I never punish my kid to the point that she is crying who gave her permission to make my kid feel a black sheep ! Kids are talking and now at her Girl Scouts no one inviting her for a play date because she’s claimed to be a bad kid ! I’m very frustrating I am going to call everyone in Park district to make sure no one is punishing my kid making her feel bad about her self has different ways to manage the problems.
Posted by a parent on 10/13/2022The teachers are very involved. The principal is always making sure if there are any absences what is the reason. If there is a student that needs special services, they provide them. It is a community involved for the best of the students. There are a lot of parents volunteering and the communication is in more than English. Students of different socio economic backgrounds feel accepted and validated.
Posted by a parent on 10/5/2021The teachers and principal at Kingsley are amazing. They go above and beyond to bring the best to their students.
Posted by a parent on 1/19/2021I wish there was more rental options in the area for Kingsley Elementary. My son had a phenomenal experience during his 2 1/2 years at this school. The entire staff worked together to create a safe, fun, challenging learning enviornment.

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOne of thier teachers gossiped to others about what she perceived as a disability I have (mental illness) and wanted others to “stay away” from me to the point where no one gives us a chance to live peacefully here. She is prejudiced woman who doesn’t practice inclusion and she teaches kids here. Absolutely disgusting!Other Review4mo ago - Scott Elementary School

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI had heard several years ago that this school was struggling. However, my child has been enrolled for two years now and I cannot say enough about how WONDERFUL the leaders, teachers, staff and community are at Scott! Mr. Boger is extremely caring, thoughtful and kind--I swear he knows every single student by name (and some of the younger, non-student siblings, too!). The teachers are top tier and treat my kiddo with such loving and caring attitudes. Fun fact: Scott is the only elementary school in the district with zero bussing--all children live within walking distance. It truly feels like a community and a home there. We are so lucky to live nearby!!Parent Review10mo ago - Jamie Mcgee Elementary School
