Dupage Montessori School

Fantastic school with small class sizes and bright students with diverse backgrounds. There is an amazing new principal (2025 Marybeth Peterson) who has improved the school immensely. The staff really seem to care as Beebe is very clean and well run with many different after school activities for the children. My Children who attend love their teachers and their social lives revolve around Beebe (they are excited for school and sad for summer). The previous principal (Christine Oneil) has left the district so that source of difficulty for many is gone. Highly reccomended

Mill street seemingly has all of the makings of a great school, unfortunately it has not been run correctly for many years. Student behavior and violence continue to be a safety issue at this school, with no consequences given to students. If you spend any amount of time in this school you will hear screaming, yelling, profanity, running in the hallways, fighting, internal hallway doors locked for special needs student containment, and constant chaos. Students are eloping out of the building with staff members chasing them holding walkie talkies. High needs students with Autism are being forced into the general education setting unsupported which is causing more chaos in the already stressed classrooms here. The turnover rate of staff is astronomical from the principals, to the teachers, secretaries, lunchroom staff, aids and so forth- there’s a reason. Parents should demand more accountability and question what is happening at this once great school.

I think this school is fine if you fit the status quo but not for kids that require an IEP or 504. Meetings were a joke. The principal sat and played on his phone and no one bothered to read or follow the 504. Now that my child is in a supportive school that aptly communicates I can look back at how absolutely terrible and traumatic Wiesbrook was for my kid. The school needs a total staff turnover with leaders that have people skills and maybe care about the kids. Teachers here bully and taunt kids and laugh when they cry. It’s gross and highly dysfunctional.

From a transportation point of view I give GS a -10. The management does nothing to protect transportation staff from being hit, kicked, bit and physically abused. They simply do not care in my observation. Raising concerns brings retaliation from the school. Very poor management, who urgently needs communication and sensitivity training.
