Read what parents are saying about Lincoln Elementary SchoolWhen we were house shopping, the school district was a major factor in our decision. We had heard good things about Monticello and have not been let down. The office and administrative staff was supportive in helping get all the paper work taken care of and was always friendly in our interactions. My child needs some extra support in the classroom but not enough for an IEP or 504 plan yet. The administration takes the time to think about which children they place with which teacher in order to ensure the best possible learning environment. My child's kindergarten teacher has been amazing. She knows how to handle her class well, is responsive to our concerns, and had handled the "intervention"/guidance from his pediatric specialist appropriately. My only concern is that the occupational therapist has to be shared between all 3 elementary schools, making it harder for all children who might need her time to get her attention. But there's only so much they can do about that. I'm very glad we landed in Monticello and not at our other choice when house hunting as I've heard quite a few horror stories about the administrative staff in that district refusing to supply proper information to their parents. We love Monticello!
Posted by a parent on 3/15/2016My child attended Lincoln school and I found it to be one of the worst schools in the area. The teacher my child had was very inexperienced and after a few months it was obvious the teacher only paid attention to the students who caused the most trouble. The playground is also in bad condition, not only my child but other children we know had serious accidents because the children were playing on unsafe equipment and not being monitored properly. After repeated attempts to try to work with the principal who did not try to work with us at all and only gave excuses, I had to withdraw my child in order to home school because of the poor quality of care and education my child had received.
Posted by a parent on 2/3/2014The leadership at this school is TERRIBLE!!!! The principal cares nothing for the students and is very unwilling to work with parents. My concerns about my child's teacher were completely ignored and all I got were excuses. The principal was unwilling to work with us about our concerns. I even had to get in touch with the superintendent because talking to the principal was useless. I am disgusted with the leadership of this school. I would not recommend this school to anyone and it is a shame there is no alternatives in the area.
Posted by a parent on 2/3/2014We love Lincoln School! My children did not have the same teachers and we were pleased with all of the staff members who we had the chance to work with. If we ever had a concern it was addressed. We were kept informed of events at the school, were always greeted with a smile, and had a chance to be in the school for several events. We are looking forward to getting to know the rest of the schools in the district!
Posted by a parent on 8/7/2012Terrible school, unprofessional and rude office staff and principle --no respect when dealing with parents, no accountability for children on school grounds during and after school, no air conditioning and only an hour early dismissal for heat (beginning of school year late summer), manner of teaching reading is horrible--goes by the "visual" (looking at pictures in stories) way of learning instead of sounding out letters, etc., etc.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMonticello Christian Academy focuses on so many things important to Christian families: sound education, God, and family. While some schools strive to separate children from their parents, MCA encourages and requires parent participation and vounteer hours. MCA is non-denominational, but they focus on God in every class. They strive to reinforce beliefs and morals in support of family values. Adminstrators, staff, teachers, and parents build good relationships here in support of the goal of providing a great education and raising the children with Christian values. My child flourishes at MCA, and we do not ever regret our decision or the finances and volunteer time necessary to send our child to MCA.Parent Review14y ago - Faith Christian School
