Read what parents are saying about Lake In The Hills Elementary SchoolThis school is terrible. My kids come home daily feeling uncomfortable and in tears. There are so many bullies at this school and inappropriate talking from all grades. Constant cussing on the busses. Some older kids trying to fight and the bus drivers aren’t paying attention. Kids get bullied right under teachers noses and yard duties ignore it. All they do is talk to the kids but parents are not contacted. So the bullying continues. There is not enough supervision on the playground. One of my biggest complaints is they do not provide lockers for the kids winter stuff so they have to carry a heavy laptop, snow pants, a beanie, gloves and shoes daily. This is extremely heavy for all grades! Kindergartners also have to carry extra clothes daily just in case they have an accident. This is something that should be kept in a cubby or box at school. Better yet a locker! Most of the time the laptops are not used at home and only used in class so this is also something that can be kept at school. For middle school the bus rides are also hell. Kids throw stuff all the time and hit my kids and other kids. The bus drivers handle this by screaming and shutting off the heat so the kids freeze. The parents again are not contacted so this behavior continues. I have never been to such a horribly ran school. That is why so many parents I’ve talked to sold their house and moved to a way better school district. Pay attention to how often houses go up for sale in this district. We also did the same! If you love your kids do not move here!
Posted by a parent on 2/6/2023I love LITH elementary because there is positivity everywhere around. The teachers care. The staff cares and there is an overall pride to succeed and accomplish ones scholastic goals while having fun doing so. My kids love their school because they are honored and respected as individuals. They matter. There is no greater gift you can give a child than to show them that they are kind smart and important.
Posted by a parent on 7/11/2017I absolutely LOVE this school!! I have 2 kids attending. The staff and teachers are wonderful! I get the sense that they really care about the students. The Principal, Mr. Jarot is fantastic. He is respectful towards the students. The students can relate to him because he doesn't come off as scary but nurturing. I will miss this school when they move on.
Posted by a parent on 5/9/2017Lake in the Hills Elementary School is a wonderful school! The principal and staff do an outstanding job. You can visibly see the emphasis on respect and it's workings. The staff works together for one common goal and, what steps need to be addressed to meet their goals. I have two daughters that attend LITH 's and have been very pleased with their education thus far. Their teachers were friendly as well as attentive. You can see the care and concern for each individual student. That is so important! Great school, great staff!

9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTeachers are great for the most part. But don’t be deceived by the principal, Mr. Z. If you have an issue he will push the issue back on you. He is tremendously disrespectful. My child ended up in nurses office so I called the nurse and asked to speak to “Mr. Z” and once he was “able” to take a phone call from a parent he asked me why did I call the nurse to speak to him and that I should have called “his” receptionist. The guy plays the part as a hippy nice guy and in reality he is a bully that should be no where near dealing with parents and children. Good luck if there is an actual issues at school like limiting how many times your child you go to the bathroom, once AM and once PM. Seems like a human issue to me. I would recommend this school because of teaching but be wary of principal Mr. Z, an awful person.Parent Review3y ago - Westfield Community School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe amount of bullying and racism at this school is unacceptable. My child has missed an excessive amount of school as a result. The procedures in place are not followed by the staff.Parent Review7mo ago - Lincoln Prairie Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter is getting ready to graduate 8th grade. She has attended STMM since kindergarten. The school offers a wonderful beforecare/aftercare program for those working parents and various schedules. Our daughter is well beyond prepared for highschool academically as she is enrolled in advanced placement math, science, and English. St. Margaret Mary offers not only an excellent academic foundation but a faith based foundation as well. At STMM we are more than a school, we are families, we are a community.Parent Review11mo ago - St Johns Lutheran School
