Pheasant Ridge Primary School

Very positive. I really like the staff, they are friendly, welcoming, very good at communicating important topics to parents and they make learning fun for the kids. They really show they care and are there for you if you need them.

My son was bullied (name calling, threatened to be choked) for 2 yrs. Despite constant emails phone calls meetings nothing was done about it. It became physical hitting pushing. He was thrown into bookshelf I filed a police report. I begged for a transfer. Principal and sup. denied it. They said "they're 8 & 9 yr old boys." My son's confidence and self esteem was ruined. I decided to send him to live with his Dad so he could leave this joke of a school. STAY AWAY!

This school helpes alot especially with the new bilingual classes they're giving, it helped out my son to have more fluency while reading.

Pheasant Ridge has a lot of talented and hardworking teachers. Their primary administrator, however, seems concerned primarily with self-preservation and oftentimes handles her employees with disrespect and even hostility. The resulting climate is toxic. On a district level, central office administrators have very little accountability. Their is little consistency in practice or policy from one building to the next. District initiatives fail as quickly as they are introduced, in the absence of any follow-through or organization. District committees run in circles until, without fail, each issue is labeled a building issue and left to the already overworked teachers to address and solve.

The teachers here are top notch!! They care and they communicate with the parents and make themselves accessible!! My kids have been here since 2007 and my last one will be out in 2014 - I will miss it - all my kids had great grades!! As the current PTO president though there is a severe lack of parent involvement - the parents that are still involved are all like me, with their last kids leaving soon - future kids won't have the extras, like book fairs, spring carnivals, fall fests and room parties, which will be sad
