Posted by a parent on 7/30/2020This school has become worse and worse every year through this leadership. Kids HATE going here now. Sad because several generations of kids have gone to this school without these set backs and emotional abuse over learning. NEEDS NEW LEADERS, NEW MASCOT, NEW RESOURCES, CURRENT TEXTBOOK AND MATERIAL AND A COMPLETE OVERHAUL before these kids have nothing left! This has become a poorly rated/scored school and is failing these students miserably. District does not care either and that is saddening to say the least!
Posted by a parent on 1/14/2019Our son went there for kindergarden and part of 1st grade. We moved to a different part of the state. At his new school (also public) he was already 1 year behind the other students and we had to have him repeat kindergarden. Many of the students were dumped there by parents that couldn't even bother to dress or feed thier kids. The kindergarden teacher could not control the kids and very little learning went on.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been bullied to the point to where she doesn't want to go to school... On bus and at school. The principal herself bullies the parents! They dont even take bully reports seriously. I read from another mother that her child got into a fight with another child that it was so bad that3 teachers had to break it up (5yr old). If they( teachers) weren't so busy gossiping with one another and doing they're jobs with care and affection they probably would have better ratings on they're school.Other Review8y ago - Mckinley Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI went to this school from 7th-10th grade. As an adult who is now a science major, I have had to work a lot harder due a substantial gap in my science education at this school. If you want your kid to have a solid science and math foundation, do not send them to this school.Other Review6mo ago - Harvest Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThis was the most uncomfortable experience my family and I have been in. The administrator Katy is the complete opposite of what a Christian non judgmental women should be. Treated us terribly and I would never give a cent to a school who treats ANYONE like this. Do yourself a favor and believe the few honest ratings because I’m sure they do remove the negative ones.Other Review10mo ago - Highland Christian Academy

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHighly recommended school that builds great foundation for your kids, most importantly on their values. Their curriculum puts emphasis on God’s words being molded into their students’ characters. A small community based school which facilitates more in-depth learnings.Parent Review1y ago - Summit School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averagei came here in 2015 and all i can say is, it helped me a TON with dealing with my anger issues, and just because a very slim amount of students say they hate it here, they can't see that they are being helped so that is there fault. so, all in all, i recommend this school, and i hate to see that people think its our fault that the students aren't behaving, so don't listen to them, they just can't stand to hear that it's THEIR kids fault. but i really recommend. so anyway, that's it, that's my review as a current student at summit schoolParent Review1y ago - Summit School
