Hannah Beardsley Middle School

My daughter (now graduated 2023) has told me about her experience going to beardsley. She was mistreated by many of the students, and the teachers would look the other way. My daughter was an EC student in both math and english, and many students she talked to lacked the basics of all subjects- for example: spelling, multiplication, division, geography, and not even being able to name 20 states off the top of their head. They do not teach hard curriculum for the normal classes, and don’t even try to help the students that are lacking. The school also focused more on mental health than the actual learning. Kids use swear words in the hallways and the teachers turn a blind eye to it. I have also been told many times by my daughter that she has experienced plenty of hardships from the kids in the spanish course especially, which include but are not limited to shoving, being called racial slurs, being hit with basketballs without apologies, and having her lunch box messed with during recess. Another thing is that the teachers bad-mouth students PLENTY. Even the kids that have mental disabilities which they obviously cant help. If you can go to another.

Our older daughter went to school at Hannah Beardsley and had some AMAZING teachers! The teachers go out of their way to make sure they can assist students in every way possible. We were SO impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the teachers at Hannah.In regards to our daughter's safety and overall wellbeing, Hannah didn't come close to meeting our expectations. On a regular basis, she was called racial slurs, witnessed fights in the hallway, and was part of several soft lockdowns related to student behavior. When we went to administration with our concerns, we were told they were doing the best they could with what they had. The offenders were not disciplined. After repeatedly meeting with the principal, we were informed they could not do anything about the racial slurs because there were no witnesses. Our youngest daughter is now in a private school because we didn't not want her to attend this school. We would not recommend this middle school based on our experiences.

Not a safe place for kids especially ones that don’t come from money. Teachers look the other way when students are being bullied. You go to the principal and they think you’re lying.

Worst school of all time it sucks so bad.

Student safety is a major concern at this school.
