Cortland Elementary School

This school is excellent. The staff is amazing, caring and well educated. They go above and beyond to educate the students and involve parents. Leadership is fantastic and it really is the best school in the dekalb school district. In reference to the garbage dump on the other side of the expressway

Cortland elementary is horrible! My kid was in special Ed and had a iep. They repeatedly did not follow the iep after many phone calls. This school was also built right by a dump which many children and staff were sent to the hospital. I have since taken my kid out and put my child in private school

This school was built right next to a dump. If I could give it 0 stars, I would. On January 14th, 2014 over 60 kids and staff were sent to the hospital because of a methane gas leak from the dump. Parents are now trying to get this school shut down. School board officials knew of the potential hazar
