Ridge Lawn Elementary School

Warning to any African American or black parents. There is racism amongst students and staff at this institution. They will not shelter your kids from it and also there isn't any disciplining when children uses racial slurs or any bullying. Just be aware if you're thinking about enrollment.

There is a strong parent /teacher community involvement in this school. The principal and assistant principal are well engaged with what’s going on. The PTA board is very active and host many events throughout year. I’m also very happy that my daughters are eager to go to school, take their learning curriculums seriously. Most importantly, this school values respectful and safe behavior. Like my daughter says “I will have a great day, the EAGLE WAY!” I use that for my work mantra too.

The school just to be great. I agree with the comments up here, Christmas spirit is gone, for Christmas they do a Grinch night. Well, the grinch hates Christmas too.. kids don't do any performances at all, barely any activities during the year.

Both my children had very positive learning experiences, with my daughter prepared for a very successful high school experience, (scholarships, masters degree). More recently my son graduated with extensive professional level reading and writing abilities.Teachers cared, and student life pleasant.

This school is a very good school for kids
