5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI think Jefferson should have negative stars. My son attended4 years and It was the most horrible experience.K-1 and 1st were good only because they had great teachers but 2nd and higher the teachers have no patience.Anytime I or my 2 sisters had problems with our children we would go to the Principal she would say let me see what I can do,but the problem ALWAYS continues.Teachers have had police called on them which the parents were never notified. The adults would talk to the kids anyway they wanted and more then one kid would be saying so. So if you think this is a good school it maybe your child keeps quiet like a very high percentage of the kids do, and Jefferson loves when parents are quiet so they don't have to explain. They don't have anti bulling. If any kids tells their considered tattling and they will be punished which is ridiculous. I cant send my kids anywhere the teachers talk to them any way and make them cry it makes me very uncomfortable as a parent. If there's any issues with children it should be talked over with the parents. Also the lunch lady has said very mean things to my son but once i found out she doesn't recall, sure! This is the only school no ones allowed inParent Review12y ago6 Reviews - Roosevelt Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDistrict 170 as a whole caters to kids and parents who couldn't care less about education and they routinely take the path of least resistance. My child knows how to dance "The Whip" and "The Nay Nay" but not how to multiply? Unacceptable!Parent Review10y ago10 Reviews - Cornerstone Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAfter attending this school for most of K-8th grade (left mid-5th grade year due to harassment from my teacher) I can say that it would rather justify certain actions of bullying rather than address them fully. I would never, never send my child to this school after the experiences Ive had here. Creating a safe school environment is the most important part of attending school, and having my own instances of bullying be dismissed prevented both me and the other students from actual understanding.Other Review5y ago8 Reviews - St Pauls Lutheran School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter has been attending St. Pauls Chicago Heights since the beginning of this school year. Im very pleased with the education she is receiving and the commitment of the staff to provide a loving, Christian environment for our children to grow in. The school is small so the teacher to student ratios are low. When I have volunteered at the school during lunch and recess, I have not witnessed any overly aggressive or cruel behavior amongst the children. My daughter has expressed to me that she feels safe in the school, which was an issue at the last public school she attended. She finds the curriculum to be challenging, yet interesting, and her young teacher does a great job keeping her interested. With the tuition being more affordable than most private schools in the area, it doesnt make sense for me to have her in any other school. My only wishes for improvement would be to add a class for the 2-year-olds and to add a high school.Parent Review12y ago5 Reviews - St Agnes School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI used to go to this school. I really did not like it because of the staff. I remeber I had a fight with someone and the principal barely did anything. Also, there is no clubs to join, AFWUL food. I noticed the school food got worse is quality overtime. It's always either cold, undercooked, or expired. I joined a public school and I had a great time. Way more diversity in clubs, way better food, and more exceptions to students in the autism spectrum.Student Review3y ago6 Reviews
