4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAn 8/10 because it created a mindset that carried me throughout high school and onto college. I found out what my likes where as far as my talents in academics and extracurriculars that can manifest into a career. Things that I found myself doing in high school because I was introduced to it at Fort Dearborn. The people as in teachers, certain ones for me but it all depends on who you are and who you connect with, had an affect on me and I will always remember them pushing me to be who I am, and who I was to them, was great and promising! But, of course things may change for students, this was back in 2012.Other Review6y ago5 Reviews - Wacker Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe staff makes the school the principal is very rude I think she thinks every parent that she comes across she has to talk to them in a disrespectful manner I kinda glad she declined my son offer letter she let her personal reasons for me come between my son education she does not accept accountability she interrupted me in a conversation which is very rude you are to let the person finish then you respond no she has to talk loud over you to get her point across which is not what I want my child to experience I want my child to understand in order to give respect you have to give it I don’t think many people are complaining about her enough because I’m sure with that type of leadership she has she shouldn’t be in the position again the staff is the reason it’s definitely not her if you deal with difficult parents you don’t take it out on other parents an I felt that’s exactly how she treated me she had WRONG information then when confronted she played victim an my child sufferedParent Review2y ago5 Reviews - Green W Elementary School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI cannot recommend this school. The community is an insular one--good luck breaking in--and the kids who are not the super athletic types will fall by the side. All four of my children attended, and the first one had a great experience, but then again, he was an athlete and an outgoing boy. He received plenty of attention. Then my youngest three sons went here and were bullied and ignored. It got so bad that we transferred them out mid-year, and we were glad to take the financial hit. Complaints to the school about the bullying did nothing. The school says they practice a "Choose Kind" philosophy, but don't be fooled, as these are mean people. Finally, the school is lacking academically. When my younger children transferred, they were behind. My son had practically all A's at CK, but was behind in math and Spanish in high school. He caught up, thankfully, but he was not happy with his preparation. The principal dragged her feet in dealing with the bullying problems and had little to say about revamping the curriculum to meet contemporary needs.Parent Review2y ago3 Reviews - Evangelical Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageDon’t send your kids here. The Principal does not care about the quality of education the kids are getting. My daughter’s teacher went on maternity leave, they did not have a teacher in place instead put a unqualified teacher aide in the class. Because this teacher was not qualified, they had 4th grade teacher teaching 3rd math and ELA. Neither the aide or 4th grade teacher have degrees. The 4th grade teacher was constantly rude to parents and posted a inappropriate TikTok video of the students. The work being sent home was all over the place and it was unorganized. Parents complained and nothing was done. My daughter ended the school year not covering all of 3rd grade math components. They took away the music and art teacher, and barely taught religion. When paying tuition….this is not quality of education you want for your child.Parent Review3y ago18 Reviews - Robert T Walker Leadership Intermediate School
