Read what parents are saying about Prussing Elementary SchoolSubs and other teachers are so disrespectful towards students, students are taught to be respectful towards adults because “adults are always right” some teachers do care and are good teachers but not all most are really bad but I mainly blame Dr. Chapain he choose the cheapest learning curriculum students don’t even learn anything! and the administrators are always so disrespectful towards students, they yell for no reason and have no respect to any of the children, some monitors in recess are so disrespectful towards students too they are on their phones, some teachers only teach when they are being observed, bullying is a big problem in this school teachers do not care about your child’s learning. and especially the principle many teachers complain about the principle too, he’s so uncaring doesn’t even do anything. Choose any other school except this one, as someone who’s being to multiple different schools this school was just horrible I wanted to move so bad.
Posted by a student on 3/1/2024Absolute Disaster for my Kindergartner. Horribly disorganized school and absolutely no communication. If you have a special needs child , I definitely do not recommend this school .
Posted by a parent on 9/4/2021This is a wonderful school for Kindergarten through 8th grade students. The teachers and staff are supportive and kind

7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI have two kids and couldn’t be happier with our time at Beaubien. Safe and welcoming teachers and community. My kids were very happy here in the and went on to attend Selective Enrollment high schools in the city. The teachers and staff do a great job caring for their academic and emotional needs. .Parent Review2y ago - Farnsworth Elementary School

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe are a very proud Portage Park Elementary family. We have 2 kids enrolled and have enjoyed the quality of the lessons and assignments and the arts integrated approach to learning. The performing arts programming has been superb- especially dance and the spring festival of the arts! We are very lucky to have this school and Principal Wood in our neighborhood.Parent Review7mo ago - Smyser Elementary School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy daughter came to St. Constance this school year after severe issues with bullying at a CPS school. The difference in her demeanor now is night and day. Instead of being bullied she is welcomed and encouraged to participate. All of the girls in her class are great friends and I've never seen anyone excluded. The kids are taught to be respectful and friendly to everyone. The curriculum is much more challenging but the graduates last school year have been accepted to great selective enrollment high schools so that speaks for itself. Overall, best choice we made. I just wish we made it sooner.Parent Review4y ago
