Great community and preparation for high school

Ours has been a CCS family for 13+ years and has been able to see firsthand how successful the CCS community is at engaging 4-5 years old and helping them grow into confident, capable, and empathetic young adults. In early childhood, the children are nurtured and made to feel safe as they begin their educational journey. In lower school, they are encouraged to be independent, advocate for themselves, and learn how they fit in the community and in the world. In middle school, they are given the tools to think critically, challenged academically, and are guided in the high school selection process, so that they are able to choose a school that is a good fit for them. My oldest is off to college in the fall, my middle child is a freshman in high school, and my youngest is in 3rd grade. They are all thriving. My kids are all very different people and somehow CCS was the perfect fit for each of them. Each of my kids benefited from the challenging academic curriculum but also had the space and support that allowed them to explore their interests and find their unique voices. The entire community at CCS is caring and focuses on bringing out the best in each child academically and emotionally and I am so grateful that our family landed in such a wonderful place.

If you are looking for a school with excellent academics and a welcoming, supportive community, I highly recommend considering St. James for your family. We joined in 2020, during the pandemic, having never heard of the school before. Although St. James is not widely known, our experience has been truly remarkable.We were initially nervous about changing schools, but we felt instantly welcomed by both the staff and other families. Our children made friends quickly and have loved being part of this community from the beginning—they never wanted to leave. My spouse and I also made meaningful connections with several families, and we have not regretted our decision for a moment.We truly love being part of this community, and it has been very satisfying to see that our big decision to change schools ended up being one of the best decisions we have made for our family. Our family loves being a member of the Parker community. Our children love being part of a community where every student learns within the same building. The Lower School program provides a solid foundation for scholastic excellence while taking into account the social emotional needs of this age group. As students age up, they are given significant leadership opportunities among their peers, as well as to the younger members of the Parker community. Progressive education is at the heart of Parker's philosophy and is evident in every classroom, from JK through 12th grade. Teachers are constantly adapting their lessons to meet the needs of their students. The parent community at Parker is vibrant, inclusive and engaging. Affinity groups, social service and interest groups are constantly evolving to meet the growing needs of the adult community. I couldn't be happier to have my children attending Parker.
