I have two children in the PYP (primary years program) and they are both thriving. The staff and teachers are warm, caring and provide a nurturing but highly structured environment. Starting in kindergarten, classes go on so many field trips and truly do use the city as an extension of their classro
Posted by a parent on 9/1/2023Our child had thrived academically at Daystar. When we changed schools, we found that our child was behind in a lot of areas. Daystar’s academics are just not up to par with what other schools expect and offer. There are not a lot of extracurricular opportunities for students, and the facilities are
Posted by a parent on 8/25/2021We just finished our second year in the Wonder Zone. My child loved her classmates, teachers and the school. The day is packed with enriching, play-based activities. Her teacher did a fabulous job of weaving learning into the day in appropriate ways for the little ones. My preschooler came home disc
Posted by a parent on 6/17/2019Daystar provides such a wonderful enviornment for the students. As a parent, you feel good dropping your child off in the morning. You know they are in a safe, nurturing, & stimulating enviornment. The principle is awesome, the teachers are excellent & the location is perfect.
Posted by a parent on 1/11/2015Let me begin by saying that my husband and I are uber vigilant in ensuring our son's well-being, happiness and that he is well prepared educationally. We looked high and low for his primary school as we believe it sets the stage for his relationship with learning and education going forward. We are

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageGoing downhill really fast. The bullying in school and then shaming by the leadership if reported is terrible. The droning on about 'equity' and not education related activities, performances, and art has made this an un-serious institution. We get it, you like to virtue signal, but it is killing basic math, reading, and science education performance. We are leaving the school ASAP.Parent Review3y ago - South Loop Elementary School

8/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageTerrible school. The principal is very verbally combative and defaults to defensiveness when you try to address concerns. The elementary school is better due to her more minimal involvement in the day-to-day with children.Parent Review5mo ago - Pui Tak Christian School

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI want to start off by saying that we are very lucky to have ended up enrolling with Pui Tak. Coincidentally, during the enrollment period at Pre-K, our son was diagnosed with a medical condition that requires substantial monitoring and management. We did not know what to expect when we informed the school staff, however they stepped up without hesitation and formed a planned with us so that our son could attend school and pursue his education unhindered (as much as his condition would allow, anyways). Additionally, our son is still thriving academically several years later. From my observations, the school excels in tailoring lesson plans to the individual student and addressing any needs that standout, whether academic or socio-emotional/behavioral. We are very grateful for the support that the school has provided our son throughout the years and look forward to continuing his education under the school's tutelage.Parent Review8mo ago - Village Leadership Academy

NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageI love the school itself. They relocated last year and it isn't in the best area. The teachers really care but they seem to be overwhelmed sometimes due to the extended school hours. My child has been going to this school since 1st grade, and she loves it. The activities, learning courses, programs etc are all amazing. The only bad thing Is some children here can be a really bad influence, and they tend to expose other children to things that children should not speak of.Parent Review1y ago - St Therese School
