Read what parents are saying about Bethesda International AcademyMy daughter is in 2nd grade at Bethesda and has attended since she was three. My daughter has thrived at Bethesda and loves her school. Our family appreciates the small, family-like environment of the school. Every teacher and student knows each other no matter the age/grade. Since the classes are so small, teachers have been able to really individualize their instruction and care to best meet my daughter’s needs, abilities, and talents. All of her teachers have shown her so much love and have been very supportive of our family. The school's student population is also very diverse and my daughter has made meaningful connections with her peers and teachers.

Posted by a parent on 11/4/2019Bethesda International Academy has been a second home for my 2 children. They both began with the Pre K program, my oldest graduated with honors and went on to receive a full scholarship from a well known high school. My youngest is in 7th grade and she is thriving. Bethesda has a tremendous focus on developing successful students/leaders. I highly recommend BIA.
Posted by a parent on 3/17/2016This is a great school with a friendly staff and amazing students! The smaller class sizes allows the teachers to work closely with students. They incorporate technology into the classroom as well!

6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe building is very old, outdated, and in need of some repairs. When I used the girl's bathroom it was dirty, the heating pipes weren't secured ( took pics) paint was peeling, and the floors and bathroom stalls were dirty and disgusting. Can you believe this is a grammar school?! I don't know why the City and COS( a joke) haven't closed the school down and made the principal fix the school over the summer that's how badly the school needs to be repaired. The food is disgusting and should not be given to the students to eat. I wouldn't give my dog the food I've seen they serve the students, and I don't have a dog.Who monitors these schools to see what they are serving the students and if the schools are being maintained?I had 3 children attend Boone, now called Mosaic School of Fine Arts, and they told me that they did not feel like they were prepared for high school when they graduated ( something I always felt and spoke about to the principal, but it fell.on deaf ears.) In my opinion, this is not a good school. This school ranks low compared to the other schools nearby and that's ashamed. I know someone who used to work at Boone/Mosaic and now works at a neighboring school and she said students at the other school are excelling, including the students who receive an IEP( another disappointment at Boone/Mosaic.) I feel as though some, not all, of the teachers, aren't good teachers and are only there for a paycheck. The teachers who do care about students' success ( not many) are not supported by the administration and this is why students at this school continue to test low among their peers. Until new administrators are put in place and the removal of bad teachers are, I don't see much hope for the students unless the parents, many of who are low-income, get together and demand their students have better teachers and a clean and safer school, Boone/Mosaic is going to continue as “business as usual” and students are going to continue falling behind. I am going to try to do my part and fight for the students, but I am only one person. This is the year 2023, and it's time for people to make a change and demand our children get the best education possible or we will shut them down. No more being paid to do the bare minimum. No more subpar education. Our children are our future and if they are receiving the proper education from people who give a damn, we are doomed as a country. We aren't living in a 3rd world country, so why is this happening?Parent Review8mo ago - Rogers Elementary School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageSpecific classroom teacher is wonderful (thorough and responsive communication with parents) but at times my child feels unheard or dismissed by the teacher despite overall fondness. School administration not as responsive regarding concerns. My child was involved in a physical altercation with another student and though I was informed and both kids got detention, there didn't seem to be enough responsiveness in documentation. There was an additional incident between parents on the schoolyard which the school administration also did not do a good enough job following up on. Office staff do not help resolve tech issues for parents and don't record absences properly despite multiple written communications...Overall not a very reassuring environment in terms of safety and responsiveness of school administration and office staff. I do love how diverse the school is though, but staff/administration could do more to help encourage kids to embrace differences, celebrate and learn about various cultures to reduce bullying.Parent Review1y ago - Yeshiva Shearis Yisroel
