Lewis School

My son has only been going to Kindergarten for about a month and a half but this school has already helped so much! He speaks more clearly, he's starting to read, his writing is going great, his attitude and respect has improved exponentially. I'm very proud of him and what his teacher and this school have done for him thus far.

Carbondale New School has been a wonderful place for our son to learn and grow. For almost four years (Pre-K through 2nd grade) we have entrusted him to CNS, and we have no regrets. With small class sizes, focus on outdoor play, and teachers and staff that embrace a love and logic teaching style, our son has blossomed. He loves learning and has grown tremendously in his spelling, reading, and writing skills. We truly appreciate all the care they take in filling his days with learning, fun, and love. He enjoys going to school! That is proof enough for us :)

This school’s science teacher provided a sexually explicit book to my 12 year old daughter on her person e-reader. The school board chose to retain the teacher’s employment because she claimed to not know what was in the book. We withdrew our daughter because they cannot be trusted with her safety.
