As an alum (class of '99), I can confidently say that any and all success I have experienced in my professional life can be traced back to my time at Council Oak. Not the high school that came after, nor college. This grade school taught me everything I needed to thrive as an adult. For me, the element of Council Oak that resonates strongest is curiosity. Curiosity is not simply encouraged or rewarded at Council Oak, it is treated as a right and a resource for each child, as readily available as food or air. If a student has a question or an interest, they are invited to explore it. They are not discouraged from the occasional intellectual detour, but rather allowed to journey through it. What this produces are intelligent people who are willing to ask questions and seek answers; curious individuals who explore and solve problems. In the workforce, this is an invaluable skill, creating adaptable individuals who can motivate themselves. Send your kids here - they'll be rewarded for it.

As a parent of an eighth grader, I’m very thankful for St. Benedict school. The teachers are dedicated, approachable, and truly care about their students. The school provides a strong academic education while reinforcing faith, values, and responsibility. My son has attended St. Benedict school since 7th grade and really liked the smaller class sizes which provides more one on one time with his teachers. I would highly recommend this school to others looking for a nurturing, faith-centered education.
