Read what parents are saying about Wilbur Trimpe Middle SchoolI like this school for my kids because they always find something new my daughter is going to Springfield for student council. I think this might be a big opportunity for her. Also my son is in art club and helps creat the school dance back drops.
Posted by a parent on 4/10/2015Great teachers, great school. Mrs. Wilkes has really turned this place around. My son loves Mr. Midgley's Art Club. They even made AYP last year!
Posted by a parent on 8/18/2012Dishonest and bigoted staff. Incompetent teachers are defended instead of removed or improved, but then again that's the norm here. So long as your kid is a submissive zombie, or you as a parent are part of the small-town clique, or your kid is an "Eddie Haskel" type character (good at deceiving the adults) you'll be fine - and so long as you expect little educationally from the school.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageA friend, who is a teacher at a different district, recommended we moved to this school district. My son had a speech impediment and fine motor skill delays. His original IEP, they could not figure out how intelligent he was, because he had a hard time getting one complete reply out. He has been at Bethalto East for 1-1/2 yrs of 1/2 day pre-k, Kindergarten, and now 1st grade. I recently came across his old IEP and was reminded of his struggles early on. He is a totally different child now. He no longer has an IEP and is blowing us and the teachers away with his grades. Last year I received a call from the school, my son was displaying disfluency issues and they started working to reinforce the techniques they had taught him. I was so impressed that they were monitoring him and being proactive. I cannot say enough about this school and district!!!!
