very strict. my son got a detention for laughing
Posted by a parent on 11/19/2025Had a good experience here, but tends to get very separated between normal classes and advanced. I had an issue where another girl in my gym class tried to attack me and had scratch marks all over my hand, and all the school did was tell her to behave.

Academically well my granddaughter was a A student above average in state testing first year at this school she's failing, this place is a law suit for sure !!! Unfortunately

You can turn in every assignment, and still fail, or turn in nothing and still get an A. I even specifically asked the the math teacher. "So my child can literally never show up for class, never turn in

The current 6th grade class makes their teacher cry on a regular basis. The staff does not support the parents who actually stress over the fact that our kids aren't happy and their behavior shows. 7/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageHad daughter having issues with bullying, principal not caring, superintendent handing off my issue to someone else. Then they sst my daughter and I to justify their actions. Poor communication at the school level, my daughter went to soccer after school to find out that the teacher handed out the permission and she was denied. They could improve in areas of Art and Music and also options for foreign language, but otherwise it's a great place for my kid to learn and grow. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAs someone who’s went to this school, the favoritism and discrimination of some kids is beyond horrible. The teachers are extremely lenient with punishments and do not handle bullying issues at all. I was one of few African American students and I was told multiple times that I only get picked for sports because I was black. I was also called the n word on numerous occasions and when I went to a teacher they did nothing about it and the student kept saying things to me.
