Read what parents are saying about West Elementary SchoolThe teachers are outstanding, the facility is great, including the library, which is stocked with so many books. Mrs. Willings, the librarian, does a great job and has coordinated a fun book club for kids and parents to participate in and discuss books. The principal, Dr. Saenz, is wonderful--he seems to know every child's name and cares about the students.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son graduated today from Montessori Children's House, after 11 years with them. For 11 years I haven't worried whether or not he was having a good day- I've never seen a kid come out of those doors anything but happy. For 11 years, I've had zero worries about homework, grades, whether he'd get in trouble because I got him to school late (again), bullying, how his teachers treated him, if his clothes were "cool," if he'd get to play outside, if he had friends, who his friends were, if he was under too much pressure, if he'd be able to keep up with school and all his extra-curriculars, if they'd understand he needed a few days off because his dad was visiting from out of state. For 11 years, I've sent him to school KNOWING he'd be treated like family. He has never liked to miss school, including for summer break and snow days, and today is very bittersweet for both of us.I didn't intend to send him to preschool at all, but at age 3, he begged me to go to school. What started as 3 half days, soon turned into full days, once he realized some of his friends got to stay all day. What started as, "We'll just go through preschool, then move him, " turned into "Are you sure I can't do high school here?"Montessori Children's House, thank you for EVERYTHING. We will be forever grateful.Parent Review6y ago - St Ambrose Catholic School

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageAwful school. Went there and left. School is now run by a principal who goes out and drinks with the parents at the school. The parents that run the school. All they have to do is run to the principal crying and they get their way. They’ve even gotten people fired before. For no reason. Person who says only a few families don’t run the school is probably apart of said families. All they do is drink and drink and drinkOther Review5y ago - Mississippi Valley Christian School

They truly exceed in making your children feel at home and welcome there. We currently have experienced preschool and have been very pleased. Curriculum seems up to date on what other students are doing, as well as more of a Christian centered focus, which my family appreciates. My son came from me being home for several months with him and then being watched by only family up until this point. Evangelical made our transition smooth and comfortable. I was amazed at how well he took to the teachers and the classroom. Evangelical also has managed to remain in school safely for most of the school year. I feel they have gone above and beyond to make sure everyone is on the same page and follows guidelines to help ensure the safety of students, staff and families. I appreciate this and think they have done wonderfully! My son will continue to go to school here. We had several friends and family recommend the school. The principal is very friendly and someone you can contact when needed. The school provides two teachers per small class in preschool. They limited their numbers as well to satisfy covid needs. They also make sure the safety of their students is top priority. There are various measures in place to make sure that only a parent or authorized person is picking up. They have also been able to set up separate times for the drop offs and dismissals, making it easier on the parents with the flow of traffic. We also really appreciate Evangelical's before and after school programs that focus on helping students with homework needs or just meeting social/emotional needs. My son truly loves the before care teachers too! The price is affordable and comparable to others in the area with more options and meeting of needs for families. I would highly recommend the school and the environment for any parent and family.Parent Review3y ago
