My daughter goes to Skyway. She has loved all of her teachers. Two thumbs up!

In third grade my daughter was farther ahead in spelling\reading\writing than the other kids in her class. Her teacher took the time to make a different and harder spelling test for my daughter. She is now in the gifted program and is being challenged for the first time. It's been hard on her because she never had to really work for her grades. I am so happy they recognized she needed to be challenged, and so far her teachers have been wonderful! She starts her 3rd year at Ponderosa this year!

My family and I feel blessed to be able to send our child to Classical Christian Academy after searching through private schools over concerns of violence and criminal activity we know are occurring in our public schools. The first impression I had of CCA while touring it is that the children appear to be happy there, and being a small school that does combined activities, the students and faculty know and are support one another. Even the younger students are respectful and carry adult conversations, which I find is rare from public life. Academics tend to be a year ahead of public schools from Pre-K to the seniors writing thesis papers and presenting them to the entire school with eloquence most college students don't possess. I also appreciate that they include biblical wisdom in their courses so that students have a dynamic and critical thinking in their learning. The final reason that I recommend this private Christian school is that although it may seem daunting to pay and volunteer for your child's education (hours are no longer a requirement), I learned that it attracts parents who are more vested and involved in their children's lives, which pours into the students being more secure and functioning at a higher level, and it shows in the academic exams. My husband and I sacrifice time and finances to invest into our child's education, we may not be able to go on extravagant vacations or buy expensive toys, but our child's life, character, and future is worth it, because it cannot be reaped before it is sown.

This school is ran like a military school where your children don’t get to socialize during breakfast or lunch. Parents don’t get to volunteer in classrooms and are told that they are a distraction. Forget walking your child to their classroom like you had when you were a kiddo. In the student handbook, they state that they can ask as a sounding parent to your child about anything on school grounds, including bringing in authority and diagnosing your child without your permission. The test the heck out of the kids and don’t care if they truly understand the work. They don’t have choir musical presentations for any holidays. They have security officers that use scare tactics when talking to your children and then deny that going on. Do not take your children here if you want them to learn the way they should be taught or if you want a say so on what goes on with your children when they are attending this school.

Historically strong school. Sadly is currently under leadership that prioritize student emotions over reality and natural consequence. She will happily carve parents out if she believes the parent's perspective will differ from her own, but if the parent is friendly with her or wealthy she will bend over backwards to appease them and burn staff. The children are hers, not yours, and any adult that does not bend the knee to her demands will be brought to heel or executed from the "family". Multiple staff members have also expressed that when they do not immediately bend to her whim and do so every time they undergo a pressure campaign designed to run them out and let her keep a clean conscience, again unless they are her inner circle, in which case, they can do no wrong. This pressure can even extend to the point of allowing slander to stand or even forwarding said slander.Current board is hand-picked to be a rubber stamp for her agenda. Narcissism and nepotism reign.

We LOVE our teachers and the faculty at Genesis! They genuinely care for their students and want them to succeed. No other private schools in the area offer the activities, sports and student body that Genesis can provide, and the faculty work with each high school students to understand all of their college options and the dual enrollment opportunities. The school has now exceeded 600+ students and continues to work toward a new facility and additional enrollment capacities. As the school grows, so do the many opportunities offered to our children.
