The staff and teachers at Jefferson are exceptional! The office staff is very informative and supportive! The teachers are caring, supportive and have done so much for my students.

Our experience at Holy Spirit Catholic school was honestly disappointing and showed a lack of proper educational protocol from the administration.My daughter (a preschooler) was abruptly withdrawn from this school after only three weeks. The principal cited one meltdown as the reason for the forced withdrawal and verbally recommended a Head Start program. Mind you this is a child who had never been to school and was trying to adjust in a new environment and she wasn’t even given enough time to do that. This decision was made without a single shred of formal documentation, there were no behavior logs, no formal written warnings, and no teacher-parent intervention plans provided to our family to justify the action. As a Catholic family, it was disheartening to experience what felt like an implicit bias from our very own community.I won’t talk about the wasted resources and other stuf but if you are looking for a school that follows ethical, documented educational practices, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere especially if you’re an immigrant family.

We’ve had two children enrolled at Pocatello Valley Montessori School for nearly four years now, and I truly can’t imagine a better place for them to grow, learn, and thrive. From day one, the staff has been warm, attentive, and deeply committed to each child’s individual development. The teachers are not only knowledgeable and patient, but they also genuinely see and support each child, meeting them where they are and helping them reach their full potential.The Montessori approach has given our kids the freedom to explore their interests while building a strong foundation in academics, critical thinking, and problem-solving. We’ve seen tremendous growth in both of them, not just intellectually, but socially and emotionally as well. Their confidence, curiosity, and independence have blossomed, and we credit so much of that to the environment at Pocatello Valley Montessori School.Pocatello Valley Montessori School is a gem. We’re so grateful to be part of this community and so thankful for the lasting impact it’s had on our children.

My child just finished his 5th grade year in the 5th/6th grade class at PCCS. He had a great year with Mrs. Terlson and looks forward to the 6th grade next year. They skied, they river rafted, they learned about water quality in local creeks and rivers by working with the city to test the water, they rock climbed, they hiked, and they went to McCall Outdoor Science School. There were so many opportunities for learning by doing and always pushing themselves to go outside their comfort zones and try a little bit more or something a little bit different. I love the way the teachers work with the children using Jim Faye’s Love and Logic philosophy to bring out the best in the children and help guide them when they might veer off course. This is my fifth child to put through school and this was our first year at PCCS. Of all the schools we have had children in, PCCS is the best. We have paid a lot of tuition to private schools and been much less satisfied with the quality of education and the quality of the teachers. We are so happy we found and got our child in to PCCS!
