This school is terrible. West Ada runs the schools like prisons. Parents are shut out and teachers have terrible attitudes. I have empathy for the staff as the wages are low but that does not excuse their horrible job performance and lack of responsibility. Unsafe conditions, poor quality education,
Posted by a community member on 9/15/2024Eagle High School is an amazing place. The teachers are beyond dedicated and go the extra miles for their students. The Band and Speech instructors in particular are to be commended for their dedication.

While the education received from some of the teachers and supportive counseling staff is excellent, the school's focus on athletics to the detriment of academics, student integrity and accountability makes the school lacking.

10/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageVery Very poor. I would not recommend this school to anyone. THe most significant issue is the poor teaching, especially on the math. Both my children came from Challenger and were significantly ahead. However, after a few short years here, we were behind. To make matters worse, this is a STEM school so I expected top notch teachers with great math instruction. We are often left speechless when we witness what she is learning and how much pride and confidence she has as a result. The school size is perfect - not too large. NAGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageOur daughter started at this school in 3rd grade and fit in well. Great teacher to student ratio. Pure education, no social justice indoctrination like you see at some public schools. Excellent caring teachers and staff is very supportive to the needs of the students. After 3 years at Challenger, we can strongly recommend it to any parents that want an excellent core education for their child. Students here are more advanced in their academics than many public and private schools. We have been very pleased with the school and would highly recommend it. 9/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageThe principal and much of the staff are great, and the school’s approach allows kids to learn in an academic setting without overloading them, meaning they can still enjoy their childhood. They also implement some fun experiences into the school year. I would personally rate it an 8/10 for academics. The coursework has been a bit easy for my kids at times, but that’s just required me talking to their teachers about finding ways to challenge them.
