Franklin Elementary School

I don’t understand why this particular school has 5 stars my experience with Liberty Elementary is extremely poor the lack of communication and the lack of concern they have for children who need help the most and the lack of interest to involve themselves in situations when a child is behind due to missing school is disappointing and disturbing.

This elementary school has many caring and dedicated teachers; unfortunately, there appears to be little support from administration. Behavior issues seem to continue without consequences that are effective.

I’ve been in Kellom prek-6th and I loved this school and some of its teachers, especially the counselors. I only had one bad experience with Leslie Douglas, a second grade teacher that had moved to skinner elementary. She targeted me from no reason, skipping me when giving out candy, not helping me with my work, telling me I’m spelling a word wrong until the due date of the assignment when I had the word spelled correctly the whole time, letting kids pick on me and talk down on my mom, refusing for me to get 3rds when the rest of the class did because of my size, and getting near my face when I didn’t understand a multiplication problem. There’s even been times were the principal called the class up for questioning because of her cussing on accident on the phone. She always put on a good teacher act when my mom was around, Trust me I was never a bad or difficult kid, to this day I have a very clean record so people have no reason to target me or treat me as if I cause trouble. I definitely would recommend this school now that Leslie Douglas has moved.

We absolutely loved Bloomer, the teachers and the staff. Leaving Bloomer is the worst part of moving.

This school allowed my nephew to be continuously bullied and punished him when he could no longer take it. My family spoke with the school over and over again and they did nothing to stop it.

All 3 of my kids have gone through Edison. My youngest is a 4th grader there currently. We've had a kid at that school for going on 11 years now. Every person we've interacted with at Edison, from the teachers, school nurse, secretary, clubs teachers, principal, even custodian Andrew... have all had a positive impact on our kids' lives. We consider our family so blessed to have had our kids elementary experiences be able to be at Edison.

My daughter has gone to this school for the past couple years and all I have to say is this is the worst school in council bluffs the special ed teacher don’t teacher kids anything when they have issues it’s do the work for her and I have proof of this teachers that she has had are worthless the whole school is a bad joke even the principal is clueless tried to switch school but you can’t even when you show proof of how shitty they are I’m so glad this school year is over
