Read what parents are saying about Peet Junior High SchoolPeet is a wonderful school with caring and supportive faculty and staff. Both of my children loved the activities and classes and thrived beyond junior high. Peet prepared them well!
Posted by a parent on 6/22/2023i currently attend this school and the so-called "popular girls" always judge people by what they're wearing or who their friends are or if they have social media. and not only other people but me also......like last week I was talked about in the girls' p.e. locker rooms. people talking about how no one likes to work with me in p.e. and people always look at me in some kind of way. and i always hear people crying in the bathrooms, the teachers are nice and all but it's the students. and the students do not listen to the teachers at all.
Posted by a student on 1/6/2023This school hasn't changed much since, when I attended there in 1993. The so called popular girls that attend this school tend to bully other girls. They have there popular groups and not popular groups. If you are not part of the popular crowd, then the bullying usually occurs. The kids there are all about, What kind and how nice of house you live in, what kind of clothes you wear, you need to wear name brand nice clothes and have lots of money to attend this school. The bullying at this school usually goes unnoticed and not much is done about it.
Posted by a parent on 7/30/2018This is an extremely well run school with highly competent, caring, and hard working staff!
Posted by a parent on 12/16/2015My daughter was bullied her 9th grade year by not only students, but teachers as well. The kids are snobby and cruel. The teachers were somewhat helpful though some were not. The administration staff was not very helpful to my daughter either. It's not a good school and I won't send any of my children there again.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMr. Ortman is a stellar principal. He has been very hands on for the past three years my son has attended. Last year, he was at drop off nearly every day. He knew all the students names and would give high-fives as they got to school. It feels nice knowing that the principal gets to know the students and they respect and love him. I think every grade has a "meh" teacher, which my son landed this year. We have many close friends who would agree. However, none of the teachers are bad teachers, just not as stellar as others. The front office is usually quite professional and helpful. There is no homework from K-2nd grade, which is awesome. I feel the teachers just want the kids to focus on learning in class and being kids outside of class. I couldn't agree more. There are after school reading groups for those who need help. (Didn't have to use those, so I can't speak to the helpfulness firsthand, but our friends spoke highly of it). We had a friend whose daughter was not thriving in a certain teacher's class environment. This mother spoke with the principal (albeit too late in the year) and was assured her daughter could switch classrooms without pressure or pushback. Administration listens, teachers are great. I will say my son HATES music. He can see fake from a mile away and does not care for the music teacher, who they see every 5 days. I feel like the music teacher either chose the wrong profession or he needs to be working with a different age group altogether. That is my only complaint!Parent Review1y ago - Helen A Hansen Elementary School

I regret ever moving away from this school district. Doing everything I can to go back! Just be warned, no other school will ever amount to it lolParent Review2y ago - Lincoln Elementary School

Some people are very against common core but I got switch in 3rd grade and I have never understood school better. 6/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son was welcomed to Southdale for 5th grade. His teacher, Ms. Sellers was above and beyond in her attention to my son. I was also welcomed warmly. All my questions and concerns were answered, no problem. E mail and texts are an extremely important add on for reminding me of all the wonderful activities, school closures, and early dismissal. I'm excited to have my son there this year for 6th grade. Thank you Mr. Strubb, school principal for a lovely experience.Parent Review2y ago - Blessed Sacrament School

The school is truly a hidden gem and our family feels so blessed that s family friend recommended the preschool so that we could discover ALL all that Blessed Sacrament has to offer.Parent Review6y ago - St Patrick School
