Boone High School

We chose Boone High School over Ames because of the programs available for our child. BHS has a fantastic AG program and a strong FFA. Additionally, when we toured the facility and spoke with administration, we were impressed by the multiple programs in place to reach a wide variety of interests.

The newly renovated facilities are beautiful and staff are excellent.

Boone High School is very innovative with the amount of cutting edge programs they offer and the opportunities they give students with real world experience. BooneTV is an amazing program that is not only a great learning experience, but keeps the community informed with all that is going on at the high school. The STEM and Ag program are also highly recognized throughout the state. There is also ample opportunity to take AP and DMACC courses. This is a great school!

BHS is a great place for kids with many opportunities to be involved in sports, theatre and speech, music, leadership, arts and more. Their STEM best program is leading the way in Iowa and creating an edge for students that other schools do not have. Additionally the principal and staff are caring and put students first in creating a positive learning environment to ensure that every student is successful and giving their very best.

Boone High teachers do a remarkable job providing innovative learning opportunities for students. It is a fantastic new facility! Advanced students have many AP class choices and are able to take courses for DMACC college credit.
