Read what parents are saying about Thomasville High SchoolEven when coupled with the "Scholars Academy", less then 60% of students pass the graduation test. They are in their 5th year of "school improvement" which means if they don't make AYP this year, the state could come in and take them over. Fortunately, the newspaper would never thing to publish anything about academics and as long as people can afford the tuition at Brookwood, the private school, no one is too concerned about a failing school system.
Posted by a community member on 4/4/2012I think there's a lot of room for improvement and everyone likes to get behind the underdog... so it's all uphill from where the school is today to where it's going tomorrow.
Posted by a parent on 2/5/2011Well I was once a student there at ths and loved it and it hasnt changed much but the teachers are very involved with the kids. I would persuade you to send your child and let anyone else you know about ths. They have one on one time eith you unlike tcchs.

My child's 1st grade teacher was mentally not suitable to teach but the teacher was allowed to continue to attempt to teach with on going problems in her life.I feel this shouldn't have and wouldn't have been this way if the administration really cares about how this affects students.
