Read what parents are saying about Sharon Elementary SchoolMy son just graduated from Sharon elementary and I have nothing but great things to say about the school. Academics are top notch. Just look at the test scores. We loved his teachers. They are warm, organized, thoughtful, fun. My son's least favorite class is ELA, but he said to me all year "At least my teacher makes it really fun!". That says a lot right there coming straight from the mouth of a student.

Posted by a parent on 7/31/2021My son is in the fisrt grade. He loves this school and teachers and everything. He insists to go to school with mask on all day long during the pandemic because "the school is so fun" he said. The school has a very strong push on reading. He tooks 3 to 4 books home each day when he was in kindergarden. Now he is in a higher reader level, he takes 6 to 7 books home each day. The teacher requires he reads all those books to parent and the parent has to sign. I can see he learned tons of knowledge through intensive reading. It tooks 30min to 90mins for him to finish his reading each day depends on the book he chooses. The reading homework is "American reading program"
Posted by a parent on 3/30/2021Avoid this school at all costs. This principal is a disgrace to the teaching profession.

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageMy son enrolled in Pinecrest during the 7th grade, and our experience has exceeded our expectations. The academic curriculum is both rigorous and comprehensive. However, what truly sets this school apart is the diverse range of extracurricular opportunities it offers. The band program has opened doors to numerous experiences, the tennis program is exceptional and every member of the administration and staff not only recognizes my son, but also demonstrates a genuine and outwardly caring attitude towards him. Pinecrest also does an amazing job of fostering a solid sense of community among the students and families.Parent Review5mo ago - Montessori Academy at Sharon Springs

N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf I could give this school less than one star, I would. The staff attrition has been ridiculous this year, the administration is incapable of smoothly running the school and the teachers are not qualified. I removed my daughter early to spend these last two weeks of school at home because we could not take anymore. Do not be fooled by the website, as what's listed there is NOT what they offer. The teachers can't spell or use basic grammar correctly and should NOT be instructing students (my daughter's teacher even misspelled her name on her graduation certificate and in the graduation program after being in her class for TWO YEARS and after addressing the spelling multiple times). Disparaging comments were made by her teacher to me and around my daughter about autistic students in her class. The school is run by a company called Endeavor that is based out of Florida and is money grab. I reached out to them with my concerns and was given the runaround. Several other parents at the school have banded together and will not be returning. We all reached out about concerns with no changes being made by the administration. My daughter was bullied NUMEROUS times-even physically assaulted- and it took extreme action on my part to get the bully removed from the school. Bathrooms that don't fully function for most of the year, only having hot running water and no cold water in some area...the list of issues with the school and staff goes on and on.Parent Review11mo ago - Brookwood Elementary School
