Posted by a parent on 2/14/2023The worst leadership Principal and assistant principal, No communication at all with the parents or student and you never find them if you want to schedule meeting with them always out of school a specially the assistant principal "Haroldeen Swearinge " Even some teachers are complaining about them.

4/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageWe love Norton Park! The lower score on this website is not reflective at all of our experience. Test scores only show one snippet of the picture, and the reality is that this is largely an ESOL-supported school. Standardized scores are typically lower among ESOL learners due to language barriers, not necessarily lack of knowledge. Teachers at Title 1 schools are some of the best, and NPE teachers are no exception. Our child requires accommodations, and we felt very supported by her teacher and the 504 coordinator. The principal loves this school and is super involved, and there are lots of events and fun experiences for the kids and families throughout the year. Both of their teachers make an extra effort to connect with my children and to point out their strengths. And both teachers also take extra effort to add creative pieces to how they teach certain concepts that my husband and I appreciate too.
